London Stock Exchange falls on Tuesday

The market showed a negative development Tuesday, and UK 100 (CBOE) ended the day at 821 points, which is a decline of 0.6 percent.

620 shares showed a gain and 1126 showed a loss. 156 shares were unchanged and closed at the same price as the previous day. There was no trading in 216 shares.

Total value of the trading volume for shares and primary capital certificates Tuesday was approximately 724.6 billion.

Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC closed at 460 pence after posting a loss of 3.5 percent. We must go back to Oct 20. 2023 to find an equally steep drop. That time the stock lost 3.5 percent. It does, however, look good technically. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term, has broken up through resistance at 420 pence and a further increase is indicated.
Informa Plc closed at 866 pence after a small gain of 0.4 percent. The stock has thereby closed up ten out of the past 11 days. Technically it also looks good. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term, has support at 836 pence and a further increase is indicated.
Marks & Spencer Group PLC fell sharply to close at 288 pence, down 3.6 percent. The previous time the stock lost this much was Oct 9. 2023, when it closed down 4.3 percent. It does, however, look good technically. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term and a further increase is indicated.
B&M European Value Retail S.A. lost 0.8 percent to 461 pence. The stock has not closed lower since May 2023. The stock has by that dropped 8.8 percent since the sell signal from the rectangle formation three weeks ago.
Britvic PLC moved horizontally and closed at 1168 pence (+0.1 percent). The stock has now closed up for the sixth day in a row. The stock has by that gained 32.3 percent since the buy signal from the rectangle formation two months ago. The volume was also high. At session end it was bought and sold shares for about 3131 million pence in the stock, which equals four times mean daily turnover.
