Oslo Børs sharply lower

The market dropped considerably Friday, and Hovedindeksen closed at 1396 points after a decline of 5.0 percent. The index has never lost more in one day since Mar 16. 2020, when it was down 5.3 percent. The week as a whole showed a loss of 7.8 percent.

43 shares showed a gain and 255 showed a loss. 9 shares were unchanged and closed at the same price as the previous day. There was no trading in 9 shares.

Total value of the trading volume for shares and primary capital certificates Friday was approximately 9.6 billion.

Kongsberg Gruppen closed at 1453 kroner after posting a loss of 8.2 percent. The previous time the stock lost this much was May 10. 2022, when it closed down 18.9 percent. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term.
Norsk Hydro closed at 53.88 kroner after posting a loss of 5.2 percent. The stock has now closed down for the ninth day in a row and this past week the stock has lost as much as 12.6 percent. The stock triggered a sell signal by the break down through the support at 55.75 kroner in rectangle formation. A further drop to 44.18 kroner within one year and seven months is indicated.
It was extremely high volume in North Energy. At session end, 20 million kroner worth of shares had been bought and sold in the stock, which equals 97 times mean daily turnover. North Energy showed a small loss and ended the day at 2.52 kroner, which is a decline of 0.8 percent. It does not look good technically either. The stock is assessed as technically slightly negative for the medium long term.
Vår Energi lost 5.5 percent to 29.30 kroner. We must go back to Mar 2024 to find a lower close for the stock. This past week the stock has lost as much as 11.6 percent. It does not look good technically either. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term, but has marginally broken down through support at 29.50 kroner.
Telenor ended with a steep loss of 2.9 percent and closed at 146 kroner. The previous time the stock lost this much was Aug 5. 2024, when it closed down 4.4 percent. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term.
